Biography

Dr. Inder Kalra is a board certified psychiatrist and Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She completed her psychiatry residency at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia followed by a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine from Brigham and Women’s hospital, Harvard Medical School Boston.

She returned to Philadelphia to work as a consultant Psychiatrist at Moss Rehab. She specializes in working with patients with Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Amputation and Stroke.

Her research interests include Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury and Cognitive Function in Schizophrenia.  She received the “Einstein Research Society Grant” for her study titled “Early Intervention for PTSD in victims of violent assault.”  She has coauthored a chapter on Rheumatological Illnesses and Depression in a textbook titled “Depression in Medical illness.” She is actively involved in residency education and curriculum development for psychiatry residents at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia.
